..and baby makes three!

So excited to share with everyone our recent maternity session with Skylar!  Who I was destined to like before I even met her based on her name (it’s the same as my daughters).  This session was not the first time we had met Skylar & Devin since we got to do our PHOTOBOOTH service at her baby shower….SO FUN!!  We had a blast with all their friends & family.  Here’s a couple peeks at the fun we had with them at the shower…

We scheduled her maternity session right away because Skylar didn’t have very much longer to go before baby Milo will be here.  The weather here in Oregon has definitely not been cooperating for us photographers! But we were able to squeeze in a quick session in between rain storms.  We LOVE Skylar & Devin’s unique style & LOVED that they requested photo’s the match their personality’s.  We were happy to oblige. Skylar & Devin both play guitar and actually met while each played in different bands but ended up performing at the same show…the rest was history.  When we learned this little tidbit we asked them to bring along their guitars to the shoot so we could incorporate them into some shots.   And loved the results! We had so much fun with these two and absolutely cannot wait for their baby to arrive. Hurry up Milo!!!

Justin & Kristy

We had the pleasure of shooting Justin & Kristy’s beautiful 11~11~11 wedding held at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Salem.  We had so much fun with these two and their family’s who are dripping with sarcasm (which if you know us personally…means they were a perfect fit for us).  Aside from the endless laughing we did with them, there is no denying the love between these two!  The union of this marriage brings together the bride’s four daughters and the groom’s three daughters & two sons.  That’s right, I know your doing the math right now….they are now one big happy family of ELEVEN!  The kids have meshed so well and I can only imagine how much fun and full of love the holidays will be in their household. ♥

We’ve been super excited to share some images from beginning of their forever!

We started off with the Bride and the Bride’s sister (Matron of Honor) for hair and make-up at Salon Mecca in downtown Salem.

All beautiful and ready to see her groom

….two become one

The Brides sister and Groom’s son made toasts at the reception.  She thanked Justin for making her sister happier than she’s seen her in a long time & he was thankful he can finally call Kristy his stepmom. ♥ So Sweet ♥.  (Although Morgan, I really did like the speech I heard at the Salon too, lol).

Sometimes the “out-take” pictures are my favorite!  I do believe the quote that associated this top picture of Kristy preparing for the first PHOTOBOOTH picture was “Oh SNAP! There’s a new sheriff in town!”  (Which is all the more entertaining of your familiar with Justin’s profession)

can’t forget the amazing details…

Justin & Kristy,

Thanks for letting us share in your special day.  We wish you a lifetime full of as much love and happiness as you had this day!!

Special Request

I had a special request last week from this pretty special little girl.  She requested to have some pictures done so she could decorate her bedroom with them.  Considering she calls me Mom, I figured I better oblige!  Since we were out taking her photo’s we figured we might as well throw brother in there too.  I’m so used to photographing everyone else’s families, I sometimes forget I should remember to capture our own family moments as well.

For those of you who don’t know me personally…meet Skylar & Logan ♥

Check out all those missing teeth!

Can you tell this lil’ guy is a ham?!?!?

We had the pleasure of capturing Josh & Helen’s big day last Saturday.  What a beautiful wedding…and what a great couple!  It’s obvious these two are madly in love with each other which always makes our job easier.  They were so fun to spend the day with, and AMAZINGLY calm considering their main course went up in flames the night before the wedding, the keg tap was MIA, and a loud passing train interrupted the ceremony.  But these two were happy, relaxed, and enjoying their day while their families remedied these ‘small’ concerns.

The event was held at the private Bell Ranch in Philomath Oregon which offered plenty of beautiful backdrops and despite the 90+ degree weather the bride, groom, and entire wedding party were troopers through the heat.  We had so much fun with them the entire day.  Being able to capture days like this is what makes us love what we get to do.

Helen & Josh: We hope you have an amazing honeymoon in Yellowstone & can’t wait to watch your love grow for many years to come ♥
